St. Louis Police Take Littles on Patrol for Presents
Sixteen Little Brothers and Little Sisters were able to do some holiday shopping thanks to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and Target.
The 3rd Annual Cops 4 Kids: Patrolling for Presents was conducted on Saturday morning, Dec. 8, at the Target store on Hampton Avenue. The shopping spree, a pizza party and visit from Fredbird were among the day's highlights.
The participating Littles were assisted by 32 caring police officers as they shopped and then wrapped gifts for their families. This year was similar to the previous two in that Littles shopped mostly with other people in mind. Police officers had to encourage the young shoppers to buy something for themselves.
