Big Brothers Big Sisters Day at the Capitol 2012

The staff from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri joined other Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies from throughout the state at Jefferson City on Wednesday, March 7, to thank legislators for their support of the Amachi Missouri program. During this special day, Big Brothers Big Sisters Amachi Missouri was recognized in both the House and Senate.

The overall goal of Big Brothers Big Sisters Amachi Missouri is to build a statewide network of quality one-to-one mentoring services for children of incarcerated parents. In partnership with local BBBS agencies and Missouri Department of Corrections, Big Brothers Big Sisters Amachi Missouri aims to ensure that children, no matter where they live or move, have the opportunity to be matched with caring Big Brothers and Big Sisters who will support them through the ups and downs of life.
