Adams Elementary and Big Brothers Big Sisters Celebrate 10-Year Anniversary
Adams Elementary School and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri celebrated their decade-long partnership at a special gathering on Thursday, April 26, at the St. Louis Public School. This innovative collaboration, which involves pairing Adams students with volunteer mentors from Big Brothers Big Sisters, has made a lasting impact on hundreds of school children and their Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
Relda Brooks, Director of Impact at Adams, opened the program along with her Little Sister Angene. Also presenting at the evening celebration were Kate Dopuch, Vice President of Quality Assurance at Big Brothers Big Sisters; and former Adams Principal Sharonica Hardin and current Adams Principal Tawana Hughes.
Entertaining the crowd of Littles past and present, Bigs past and present, family members, teachers, and Big Brothers Big Sisters' staff, were the Adams Elementary Glee Club and Adams 6th grade step performers.
